November to February are supposed to be a period of having fun under the touch of sunlight and summer breeze, however instead of holiday guess its better to call it hell-iday (borrowing this words from a crush of my bestie).

Two days a week, instead of having fun, i had four lectures and four tutorials. Well the good thing is that the lecturers and the tutors are still young and energetic. Obviously the subjects are also interesting (consider i have no choice but to take these two subjects). Oh i'm taking PSYC 3082 (counselling and psychotherapy) and PSYC 3152 (applied topic in developmental psychology)

Actually this holiday is not totally filled with (again) academic-related things, which is kinda pathetic if its only still around uni things. Well, I had a great 5 days and 4 nights holiday as well in Sydney (discounting the excessive worry due to PSYC 2010, it should be quite a perfect holiday).

1. Sightseeing in Sydney: Sydney Opera House, passing the Harbour Bridge, going to Manly Beach (there were lots of seagulls, its good feel the touch of the sand and water on my feet. hey we wrote our name as well and the name of the current guy i'm currently close to. lol embarassing), Bondi Beach, Darling Harbour, Hyde Park, Chinatown

2. Shopping in Sydney: well ladies, we cannot separate shopping from our holiday plan. its actually one of the essential part hahaha. ok we went to Queen Victoria Building which connected to other surroundings big shopping centre. but too expensive for us students. Next is Haymarket which was located exactly in front of our hotel, thats quite a bargain price in Haymarket (lots of factory outlets like Supre, Esprit, Cue, Lonsdale, etc.). Well, my favourite one is Birken Head Point. Its a collection of factory outlets as well with extremely incredible price. I bought skirts and t-shirts in FCUK which cost me not more than au$ 50, one tanktop and shirts in Marcs for only au$20, and an australian designer hat plus Sisley purse in David Jones for less than au$ 50 as well.

3. Eating time: Pancakes on the Rocks (great pancakes and crepes with a big range of selections), Hurricane (crazy delicious big and reasonable prices of Lamb ribs, located in Bondi beach), Riviera ice cream (never had I saw that huge size of ice cream. i guess one portion could be for 4-7 persons seriously im not kidding), Japanese food (forgot the name but this one is a famous japanese food in chinatown. i ate their fish teriyaki and takoyaki like in japanese comic. its all delicious), Max Brenner (bestest part. its a chocolate bar. all chocolatey here. famous order: suckao! milk chocolate one. funny how to drink this -well maybe suckao means sucks the cacao hehe. oh and bapka and truffle with a melted chocolate dip. whohoooo. drunken due to the chocolate consumption). well the last bite, of course, Krispy Kreme (we tried everything from original glazed, blueberry, chocolate, etc. but well, we had that in Indonesia. though i never tried it cos they just open the counter when im already here).

4. Best feature of the holiday: Grand Final Australian Idol live from the Sydney Opera House. I'll put some pictures i took while i watch it. Well, i always try to love my so called digital camera with its major 'limitations' and consider those limitations as a challenge in creating great pictures. But sometimes in lots of the occasions such as this, those limitations became extremely irritating. Crazy, what could I do with only 3x optical zooms if i sat far from the stage. plus its shutter that extremely took a long time, obviously i couldnt let my hand not to shake. So yeah, sorry for complaining.

Anyway, happy studying for all the students. happy working for the workers.

(*btw, i'm writing this in the law library -im a psych student though -and there is this (omg) irritating couple in front of me who's acting as if they are in Romeo and Juliet movie. not a cool couple. i like seeing cool couple but this one? 'duh. Anyway sorry for the long journal, after this i'm gonna hit PSYC 3082 and PSYC 3152 assignments. Sniff)
